Dr. Shawon Gullette, ND, I.A.T., Ohio’s First Advanced Functional Trichologist, is a Certified International Association of Trichologists (I.A.T.) Trichologist and Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine with more than 15 years of experience helping women address hair loss and scalp concerns. Her journey began behind the salon chair, where she witnessed firsthand the emotional impact hair loss can have on confidence, self-esteem, and quality of life.

Determined to find answers beyond cosmetic solutions, she pursued advanced training in trichology, functional wellness, and naturopathic medicine. Today, she takes a comprehensive, root-cause approach to hair loss, helping clients identify the underlying factors that may contribute to thinning, shedding, and scalp disorders while supporting healthier hair growth and overall wellness. Through Dayton Trichology and Cincinnati Trichology Hair Loss Control Clinics, Dr. Gullette has helped thousands of men and women better understand their hair loss and create personalized plans designed to support long-term scalp and hair health.

Dr. Shawon Gullette, ND, I.A.T. is Ohio's First Advanced Functional Trichologist, a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, Certified International Association of Trichologists (I.A.T.) Trichologist, author, educator, and nationally recognized hair loss specialist.

Driven by a passion to help women understand the root causes of hair loss, Dr. Gullette pursued advanced studies through the International Association of Trichologists, completing extensive training in hair and scalp disorders and becoming Ohio's first Certified Trichologist. She later earned her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree, further expanding her expertise in the relationship between internal health, nutrition, hormones, and hair loss. She is currently continuing her education in Functional Medicine to further enhance her ability to identify and address the underlying factors that contribute to hair and scalp concerns.

Dr. Gullette is the founder and owner of Dayton Trichology Hair Loss Control Clinic and Cincinnati Trichology Hair Loss Control Clinic, where she has helped thousands of men and women navigate hair loss through a comprehensive, whole-body approach. She is also the author of Hormones &Hairloss a resource dedicated to helping women understand the connection between hormonal health and hair loss.

Her expertise has been featured on the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show, and she was recognized as one of Dayton's Top 10 Women by Cox Media Group. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with healthcare professionals, dermatologists, and wellness practitioners to advance education and awareness surrounding hair loss and scalp health.

Known affectionately by her clients as "Dr. Shawon," she remains committed to service and community outreach. Through the Hope for Hair Foundation, she has helped provide cranial prostheses and hair replacement resources to women experiencing medical hair loss, including those undergoing chemotherapy.

Today, Dr. Gullette continues to educate, advocate, and empower individuals through her clinics, speaking engagements, educational programs, and commitment to helping people uncover the root causes behind their hair loss concerns.
